How a Dictator grow (Part 1)!

The former Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina was also the President Of the Bangladesh Awami League (BAL). BAL is the kind of party that has a long history of struggle, especially for establishing democracy in the country. They led to the great independent war in Bangladesh. From the very beginning of this party, it fought for people's rights. They made a great history of political fighting for their people. Even Sheikh Hasina fought to establish democracy in the country. She had a gorgeous history with her political career. It could be a textbook example for future politics. But, in a matter of time, she turns herself into a dictator. She colored her hands with the blood of the student. Now, it can be a textbook example of how a democratic radical character changes into a dictator. This is the time to learn lessons from her activity to prevent to growth of a further dictator.

When Sheikh Hasina came to power in 2008, I was an adolescent. So, I have witnessed how she became a rude dictator in a matter of time. In this article, I am going to describe my point of view. It may vary to others.

Use of Emotions

In the year of 2013, the first questionable election was held under the Hasina government. The national political issue was the judiciary process of war criminals in Bangladesh's war of liberation. Hasina capitalizes on this issue to retain her power. Everyone was silent from the press to civil society and the administration as well. It was the first mistake. In the meantime, Hasina made an obedient group of administrators. She benefits everyone who takes part on her side. From the local level to the state level. This system remained until the last day of her regime. She created a beneficiary group in her government in every sector. They are made for each other. The political leader was connected with the police administration. The police officer benefited from the banking sector. The banking sector benefited from a political leaders. Thus a group of beneficiaries was created who helped Hasina to stay in the regime. Once they feel about the consequences of their activity. They feel that they will be finished if the regime collapses. That's why they tried hard to keep in power at any cost. No matter how many lives have to finish.

Freedom of the Press!

In Bangladesh `freedom of the press' is a vogue word. Because the press itself doesn't want to be free here. They like to take benefit from the corporate house and political leaders. They love to blackmail people in the name of news. They love to entertain people rather than publish the truth, the fact. Usually the media guys in Bangladesh love to practice power instead of being a journalist. Thus they become a beneficiaries of political power parties. This helped Hasina to become a dictator.
